Four additional rezoning options to be reviewed Jan. 7

The Bethlehem Central Board of Education will publicly review four additional elementary rezoning options at its meeting on Wednesday, January 7.

The four new options — Options 3A, 3B, 4, and 5 — were developed by Tyler Technologies, the mapping and data firm hired to lead the rezoning effort. These options were presented earlier today to the Elementary Zones of Attendance Committee, which had the opportunity to review each plan and provide feedback.

During the meeting, the committee determined that two of the four options — Options 3A and 3B — most closely align with its goal of balancing future K-5 enrollment and class sizes across all five elementary schools.

All four options will be presented to the Board by Tyler Technologies, along with a summary of the committee’s feedback. The Board Meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in Room D-122 at the high school. The meeting will also be livestreamed.

The Board of Education is expected to make a final decision on rezoning at its January 21 meeting.
