Every year, the New York State Education Department partners with the Office of General Services to honor Dr. Martin Luther King’s memory by inviting schools to submit student art and essays that reflect Dr. King’s teachings. The purpose of the exhibition is to help people of all ages understand that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day commemorates Dr. King’s birthday. The artwork and essays serve as reminders to all Americans of Dr. King’s dreams and goals for the nation.

We thank these students for their creativity and commitment to honoring Dr. King’s enduring legacy.
