Hamagrael students and staff ushered in the weekend in the best way possible: with music, dance, stories and lots of smiles thanks to a special guest artist who was part of a schoolwide assembly.
Jordan Taylor Hill brought his African Diasporic Drum & Dance program to the school on Friday, Mar. 1. Hill has customized a program for elementary-age students so they can experience traditional music and dances from West Africa, Brazil, and The Caribbean. By involving both students and staff, Hill delivered a lesson in history, culture, and customs at Hamagrael that was both fun and educational.
