Students, staff and special guests gathered at the school on Friday, Nov. 7 to honor active military members and veterans who are a very special part of the Slingerlands community.

The program began with the presentation of colors by members of the American Legion Blanchard-Currey Post #1040. Students led the Pledge of Allegiance, spoke about the meaning of service, and sang songs honoring each branch of the armed forces. Each guest of honor was presented with a special token of appreciation for their service.
