On Tuesday, November 11, at 9 a.m., BCSD will host the fourth annual BC Spirit Run at Elm Avenue Park. The Spirit Run is a free, family-friendly event that celebrates community, friendship, and school pride on Veterans Day.
Students and families from all five BC elementary schools will share in the fun as they run, walk, and cheer each other on! The morning will also feature a friendly competition, with the Spirit Trophy awarded to the school with the most participants, and a special award will be presented to the fastest school.l.
In honor of Veterans Day, the event will include a special salute to veterans.
This event is open to all K-5 students and their families; a parent or guardian must accompany all students. Registration is required and is open now through Friday, November 7.
Nov. 11 BC Spirit Run Schedule
- 8:00-8:45 am: Check-in (Large Pavilion)
- 9:00 am: K-1st Grade Run ( 1/4 mile)
- 9:10 am: 2nd-3rd Grade Run (1/2 mile)
- 9:20 am: “Star Spangled Banner”/Moment of Silence
- 9:25 am: 4th-5th Grade Run (1 mile) – This race will be scored by school for a special award for the “fastest” school
- 9:45 am: Parent /Faculty Walk or Run (1 mile)
Participants should park in the front lot and walk to the large pavilion at Elm Avenue Park in Delmar for check-in from 8-8:45 am.
