An important letter from BCHS principal Dave Doemel

An important letter from BCHS principal Dave Doemel…

Dear BCHS parents/guardians:

I hope everyone is having a great summer! As many of you may know, there has been a great deal of construction at the high school that will enhance our students’ high school experience for years to come. I am always grateful for our clerical and maintenance staff who are here all summer long making sure the start of our school year runs smoothly. Please take time to thank them when students return in September.

I also want to remind you all we have changed our cell phone/smart device policy at the high school for this upcoming year. Cell phones, smartwatches, and wireless earbuds will not be used during the school day. This year, all students will be provided with a Yondr Pouch to store personal electronic devices during the school day. It may be good practice for students to place their phones or devices away in the upcoming weeks. We know this will be an adjustment for all but we believe this shift will also positively impact everyone’s experience at BCHS.

The new cell phone/smart device policy will be in effect for the first day of school. The first day for all students is Thursday, September 7. On Thursday and Friday, Sept. 8, we will ask students to practice keeping their phones off and put away. Students should keep phones and smart devices at home or in their bags on these days.

The Yondr pouches will be handed out to each student when they arrive at school on Monday, September 11. More specific instructions for the distribution of pouches will be provided before that date.

Please review the following links related to the use of Yondr pouches:

Enjoy the rest of summer! Please contact me with any questions that are not answered in the documentation above.

Sincerely,

Dave Doemel

BCHS Principal
