Three BCHS  students were named by their language honor societies as scholarship recipients.

Junior Zara Pattison was awarded the 2023-24 Bertie Green Junior Travel Award from the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (SHH), a national honor society for students studying Spanish or Portuguese. As one of just 21 juniors chosen for this prestigious award nationwide, Zara will travel to Panama this summer for an immersive cultural exchange experience.

Junior Molly Wladis was awarded the Francophone Studies Stipend from the AATF Société Honoraire de Français. The stipend is awarded to support students’ interest in their continued learning of the French language and francophone cultures. A member of both the Spanish and French honor societies, Molly plans to travel to Québec City with her stipend.

The Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (SHH) awarded senior Gabriel Martin with the Joseph Adams Senior Scholarship. The SHH awards this scholarship to graduating seniors who have shown evidence of high achievement in Spanish or Portuguese throughout high school. Gabriel will attend Dartmouth College in the fall.

Congratulations to Zara, Molly, and Gabriel!
