Important reminder: Please keep your children home if they are sick

In order to provide a safe environment for learning and student growth, please keep sick children home. 

In the event your child becomes ill during the school day and needs to be picked up, please do so promptly for your child’s well being and to prevent further spread of illness.

Listed below are some simple guidelines you should consider when determining if your child needs to stay home from school:

  • Fever: Please keep your child home until temperature is below 100 degrees for 24 hours without fever reducing medications such as Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin (ibuprofen). 
  • Vomiting/Diarrhea: Please keep your child home until vomiting or diarrhea has stopped for 24 hours. 
  • Strep Throat: Your child should remain home for 24 hours after starting antibiotics
  • Eye Symptoms (redness, discharge, itching, swelling): Student should be evaluated by a healthcare provider. If antibiotics are prescribed, student should remain home for 24 hours after starting medication.
