Summary and Overview
Glenmont Elementary PTA’s mission is to support the goals of our educators and foster a sense of community within our school by providing educational opportunities as well as social events for our students and their families. Below are just a few programs the PTA sponsors using your generous donations.
Educational Activities
Math & Science Night, After-School Enrichment Programs, School Banking, 1,000 Books Project, Educational Assemblies, The Big Backyard, and Healthy Kids Activities.
Community & School Spirit
Family Directory, Roots & Wings Community Service Projects, Field Day Refreshments, Staff Appreciation Luncheon, Yearbook, Bus Driver Appreciation Breakfast, Teacher Grants, and Spirit Wear.
Social Events
Fall Family Picnic, Halloween Ball, Parents Night Out, Lip Sync, and Winter Carnival.
Membership Information
Join the PTA
Become a member either during our annual membership drive in the fall or at any point during the year by submitting a completed form and payment ($10 for a single membership; $14 for two adults). An added bonus of PTA membership is the online directory that gives you contact information for other families in the school so you can connect for play dates, parties and more!
How you can help
Volunteer
The PTA hosts a variety of events throughout the school year that cannot be successful without the help of volunteers. The opportunities vary in time commitment so there are options for any schedule. Chair a committee, lend your expertise in planning events, offer behind the scenes support, volunteer your time to help make our activities a success, or join the board.
Attend the Meetings
Be involved in the planning of various events and help decide what types of activities the PTA can support, all while meeting other families in the school.
Participate in Events
The PTA raises funds by hosting a variety of events throughout the school year. By attending these family-friendly events, you can have fun and support the PTA!
Support the PTA’s Fundraising Efforts
All of these programs could not exist without your support! The PTA respectfully attempts to keep fundraising to a minimum. Please support our school-wide fundraisers which support all Glenmont students.
