Payment options for school lunch, breakfast

All BC cafeterias have returned to paid meals for the 2022-23 school year. The Bethlehem School District’s Food Services Department offers families several ways to pay for breakfast and lunch.

Payment Options

Pre-Payment with MySchoolBucks

Secure online payments can be made using MySchoolBucks (There is a $2.75 fee per transaction charged by MySchoolBucks. All fees go directly to mySchoolBucks.com to cover the vendor’s costs of operating the online payment system.) The prepayment system allows students more time to eat and less time waiting in line.

Check

Checks should be made out to the “BC Food Services” and sent to your student’s school. It is recommended that you send the check in a sealed envelope marked “School Lunch” with your child’s name.

Cash

Cash is accepted in all cafeterias, however, cash payments are not encouraged as they are more difficult to track. If sending cash, please include in a sealed envelope marked “School Lunch” with your child’s name.

Free and Reduced Lunch Application

Families are encouraged to fill out the free and reduced meal application. Information and the application is available below.

Important free & reduced meal information and application can be found here.

Assistance for Families Facing Hardships

The Bethlehem Central School District’s Caring and Sharing Program which mostly provides assistance to families during the holiday season can also help families who are experiencing hardships at other times of the year. Information on how to request assistance through Caring and Sharing during the 2022-23 school year will be shared by each school building. Please watch for that information.

Reminder About A la Carte Items

Students who wish to purchase “a la carte” items MUST have funds on account or in hand. Students must have selected all of the components that make up a breakfast or lunch meal in order to not pay for items at a la carte prices. BCSD monthly menus are posted here.
