The BC varsity girls tennis team has earned a ticket to Flushing Meadows for the upcoming New York State Public High School School Athletics Association Girls Tennis Team Championships. The Section II champion tennis team did so by winning the NYSPHSAA regional championship on Saturday after defeating Section III’s Fayetteville-Manlius 6-1.

The BC team finished its regular season 15-0 before winning the Suburban Council and Section II titles.

The 2021 Girls Tennis Team Championships will be held on Friday, November 5 at the home of the U.S. Open — the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center — in Flushing Meadows. This is the first year in NYSPHSAA history that the state tennis tournament will determine a team champion. The NYSPHSAA Girls Tennis Team Championships will be livestreamed on November 5.
