Letter from Interim Principal Baker, Nov. 21

Filed in Elsmere by on November 21, 2017

Dear Elsmere Families,

Here at Elsmere we are fortunate to have so many caring students, teachers, staff, and community members who have demonstrated support to each other in many ways over the past several weeks. All throughout the month we have seen an outpouring of donations to those in need through our holiday fundraising efforts. I am so thankful to be part of such a positive environment as we head into the much anticipated Thanksgiving break.

Today is School Related Professionals Day so we offer our appreciation to all of our classroom aides, custodians, nurses, food service, transportation and clerical staff throughout the district. Thanks for all you do to support our common goal of fostering happy, safe, and eager-to-learn children every day!

The 4th and 5th graders had a wonderful time going to see the movie, Wonder, on Monday. They had a lot to say about it so please ask your children about the movie if you haven’t already done so!

Reminder that we will have our second day of parent-teacher conferences on Wednesday, November 29th. Please remember to let us know as soon as possible what arrangements may be needed for your children at the 11:45am dismissal. Also, reminder that next Friday is our Third Grade Breakfast at 8:45am in the cafeteria; hope to see you there!

In closing, I want to extend my wishes to everyone in the Elsmere community for an enjoyable and relaxing Thanksgiving holiday.

Sincerely,

Andy Baker
